Abstract

Penulisan  Boraks memiliki toksisitas terhadap reproduksi dan perkembangan, neurotoksisitas, dan toksisitas nefro pada manusia Mengingat dampak toksisitas boraks bagi makhluk hidup khususnya pada manusia, berbagai penelitian dilakukan pada beberapa hewan coba, salah satunya pada Drosophila melanogaster Pengamatan perubahan morfologi sayap D. melanogaster memberikan berbagai informasi penting, seperti fisiologi, perkembangan, adaptasi, dan evolusi Penelitian dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Boraks terhadap sayap Drosophila melanogaster dari persilangan strain ♀N × ♂N. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan metode RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap). Dalam penelitian ini perlakuan yang digunakan sebanyak 3 perlakuan yaitu pemberian konsentrasi boraks 0,1 dan 0,9 gram pada medium dan kontrol. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian boraks dengan konsentrasi 0,1 dan 0,9 gram tidak menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap morfologi perkembangan sayap D. melanogaster
