Publication Ethics

IJSTECH : Indonesian Journal of Science, Technology and Humanities highly prioritizes publication ethics and will conduct legal reviews if needed. Each item in publication ethics is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Details of international guidelines and standards can be found at the Cope of Publication Ethic (COPE).

AUTHOR ETHICS

Reporting Standards: Authors must prepare accurate articles based on research results. The article must contain detailed information and sufficient references. If there is plagiarism above 30% in the article that is done intentionally, it is unethical behavior and must be revised by the author or the article will be rejected.

Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their writing is not the result of plagiarism and provide clear information on each citation. Authors are PROHIBITED from publishing the same article in different journals. If such violations are found, the article will be rejected.

Acknowledgement of Sources: Authors must make citations of publications that have been used as the basis for making their scientific work.

Authorship of the Paper : Authorship should be limited to those researchers who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All researchers who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Researchers who have participated in substantive aspects of the research should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The lead author should ensure that appropriate co-authors are included on the list of authors, and all authors must have seen and approved the final version of the paper to be published.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest : Authors should disclose in their manuscript any substantive financial or other interest that might be construed to influence the results of the paper.
Fundamental errors in published works : If the author discovers an inaccuracy in a published work, the author should report it to the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

EDITOR

Publication decisions : The editor is responsible for deciding which of the articles accepted by the editorial board should be published. Editors may be subject to the policies of the journal's editorial board and are constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. Editors may also confer with other editors or reviewers in making decisions.
Fair Play :
The editor may evaluate the contents of manuscripts at any time without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality : The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher.
Disclosure and conflicts of interest : Unpublished material in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the express written consent of the author.

REVIEWER

Contribution to Editorial Decisions : Reviewers assist the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may assist the author in improving the paper. Reviewers are also expected to provide suggestions for improvements to the review results.

Promptness : Any reviewer who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or to review the manuscript promptly should notify the editor and not be involved in the review process. Invited reviewers should also confirm their willingness or unwillingness to review the paper. Confidentiality : Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except with permission from the editor.
Standards of Objectivity : Reviews should be conducted objectively. Authors should not engage in self-criticism. Reviewers should clearly state the results of their reviews and any supporting arguments.
Acknowledgement of Sources : Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement of observations, derivations, or arguments that have been previously reported should be accompanied by relevant citations. A reviewer should also communicate to the editor any substantial similarity between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which the editors and reviewers have knowledge.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest : Privileged information or ideas obtained from peer reviewers must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.
