Abstract

Penelitian ini mendalami dimensi etika dan moral seputar skandal korupsi yang melibatkan Menteri Pertanian di Indonesia. Meskipun sebagai institusi pemerintah yang bertanggung jawab atas pelayanan publik, pemerintah seringkali gagal memenuhi prinsip-prinsip transparansi, akuntabilitas, dan kredibilitas. Studi kasus ini memfokuskan pada penyalahgunaan wewenang Menteri untuk keuntungan pribadi, menyoroti perlunya pemeriksaan lebih mendalam terhadap pelanggaran etika dan moral dalam praktik pemerintahan. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi motif dan faktor yang berkontribusi pada korupsi, mengakui konsekuensi yang meluas baik bagi negara maupun kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap pemerintah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menganjurkan implementasi nilai-nilai etika dalam tata kelola untuk mendorong pemerintahan yang bebas korupsi dan bermoral tinggi.
