Abstract

Nyeri merupakan respons fisiologis yang dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup sehingga diperlukan pengembangan analgesik berbahan alam yang lebih aman. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi aktivitas analgesik ekstrak daun sirih hijau (Piper betle L.), daun sirih merah (Piper crocatum Ruiz & Pav.), dan kombinasinya pada mencit yang diinduksi asam asetat. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode geliat dengan lima kelompok perlakuan, yaitu kontrol negatif, kontrol positif (ibuprofen), ekstrak daun sirih hijau, ekstrak daun sirih merah, dan kombinasi ekstrak. Jumlah geliat diamati selama 90 menit dan digunakan untuk menghitung persentase inhibisi analgesik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh kelompok perlakuan mampu menurunkan jumlah geliat dibandingkan kontrol negatif. Persentase inhibisi analgesik pada kelompok ibuprofen, ekstrak daun sirih hijau, ekstrak daun sirih merah, dan kombinasi ekstrak berturut-turut sebesar 62,16%, 32,43%, 29,39%, dan 30,07%. Ekstrak daun sirih hijau menunjukkan aktivitas analgesik tertinggi di antara kelompok ekstrak yang diuji. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun sirih hijau, daun sirih merah, dan kombinasinya memiliki aktivitas analgesik pada mencit yang diinduksi asam asetat, dengan ekstrak daun sirih hijau memberikan efek paling baik
